Maryann Galvin Kofoed, of Wilmette, passed peacefully from this world on May 15, 2021 at the age of 80. An avid painter, sculptor, and lover of literature, she saw the beauty in everything and was prone to poetry. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to Russell M. Kofoed, and a loving mother to Russell W. Kofoed, Seana (Jason Antoon) Kofoed, Eric (Farida Jhabvala) Kofoed, and Paul (Jessy Daou) Kofoed. She was a dear grandma to Rosalie, Russell, Holden, Harper, Devika, Anisha, Stella, and Sienna, a kind sister to Joan Steele, Antoinette Strachan, and Michael Galvin, and a cherished daughter to the late William and Irene Galvin. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, May 19th at 1:00 pm local time at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 524 9th Street, Wilmette, IL.
