Willie L. Price

Funeral Services for Mr. Willie L. Price, age 88 of Lineville, will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Lineville Baptist Church with Ps. Ben Curlee and Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Price passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his home. Born in Clay County, Mr. Price spent the beginning of his life in clay county, and after graduating from Lineville High School, joined the U.S. Army for a couple of years. After his stint in the military, he and his family moved to Dallas, Texas where he became a master electrician, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical workers (I.B.E.). He and his brother Bobby Price owned and operated Price Electric in Dallas for 30 years. After his retirement, Willie and his wife, Frances moved back to Lineville where they have lived for the last 20 years. He enjoyed bowling, playing Canasta, fishing, gardening, and cutting grass on his lawnmower. Mr. Price was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was a member and Deacon of Lineville Baptist Church. Mr. Price is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Johnson Price of Lineville; 4 daughters: Judy Price and Peggy Price, both of Dallas, TX, Vanessa Mitchon (Jim) of Austin, TX, and Susan Nall (Chris) of Lineville; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lindsey Price (Yvonne) of Valley; and a large extended family. He is preceded in death by 3 sons: Donald Price, Larry Price, and Jerry Sims; one great-grandson, Eli Sims; one sister, Linda Dewberry; and two brothers: Charles and Bobby Price. Pallbearers will be Jason Sims, Chris Nall, Jim Mitchon, Rusty Nall, Ricky Price, Darrell Green, and Kenneth Yates. Flowers are accepted; or donations can be made to any local charity. A visitation will take place on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Lineville Baptist Church from 10:00Am until service time at 11:00 A.M.
