Fred Dewayne Hancock Obituary

Fred Dewayne Hancock, 86, went to his heavenly home on May 13, 2021 at his home in Houston, Texas. He was born to parents Harvey and EvaLee (Pillow) Hancock on October 11, 1934 in Walcott, Arkansas. As time went on, Fred found the love of his life, Betty, and the pair were married in February of 1969 in Houston. He was a devoted Christian, and later in life served his Lord after surrendering to preach His Word. In Fred’s free time he could be found outdoors, usually putting on the green of a golf course or out on the pier fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Elzada Gill, Arthur Ray Hancock, Helen Chester, Louis Hancock. Fred is lovingly survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Hancock; children, Barbie Martinez and husband Michael, Robert Kingsbury, Jr. and wife Ruth, Shellee Turner; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Rudy Garcia, Clarissa and James Gantt, Robert Kingsbury, Cara and Dean Covic, William Battenfield, Brittany Turner, Hannah Kingsbury, Rebekah Turner, Jacob Turner; as well as five great-grandchildren, numerous other extended family members, church family, and friends. A celebration of Fred's life will be held on June 12, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Munn Street Baptist Church, located at 10910 Munn St. Houston, Texas 77029.
