<p>Mr. Richard Andrew Epperson, 61, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was born in Linden, New Jersey on September 25, 1959 to the late William Andrew Epperson and Betty Koch Epperson. He loved gardening, reading, music, history, and most of all, being &ldquo;Opa&rdquo; to his grandchildren. On Sunday&rsquo;s, the ladies would always ask for him to sing at church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Ronnie Dunham. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Julie Hudspeth Epperson; two sons, Andrew Epperson, and Brandon Ore; daughter in-law, Tiffany Barnes Epperson; his pride and joy three grandchildren; Isabella, Paislee, and Jamison Epperson; four sisters, Margaret Riggs (Tim), Cindi Clark (Brian), Debbie Spear, and Heidi Mozina; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Pat Ring. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Ararat, Virginia with Rev. Buford Jessup officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, May 17, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.&nbsp;</p>
