<p>Nina Jean Purvis, 87 passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Purvis was born May 13, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Wilburn Brown Hayes and Nina Eunice Hayes. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whom loved to cook and care for everyone. She loved her flowers and working in the yard.</p> <p>Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Vernon Alton Purvis of Lenox; three children, Steve (Dale) Purvis of Lenox, Tony (Pam) Purvis of Adel, and Sheri Purvis of Lenox; grandchildren, Tiffany Purvis, Tony (Amanda) Purvis, Allen Purvis, Dusty Purvis, and Jamey (Cassie) Purvis; great grandchildren, Madi Murray, Emma Grace Morton, Taylor Hagood, Kelsie Hagood, John David Taylor, Aiden Bristol, Mara Purvis, Cooper Purvis, and Tucker Purvis; siblings, Betty (Homer) Gandy, Edward (Roxanne) Hayes, Billy (Beverly) Hayes, Felton (Judy) Hayes, and Angel Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Purvis was preceded in death by sisters, Jimmie (Dewey) Drawdy, Mrytle (Hillard) Weeks, Joan Ziegler; and one brother, Travis Hayes.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.</p>
