Robert Porter, age 79, of Canton passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at his residence. At the request of Mr. Porter, he was cremated and a private celebration of life will be held. Robert was a hard working simple man who enjoyed helping others. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.W. and Gene Porter and brother, Larry Porter. Survivors include his children, Larraine Porter West and Michael Porter; four grandchildren, Nicole West, Justin West, Alex West and Charlie West; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Ramirez and Axl Ramirez; nephew, Blake Porter; several cousins and many friends.
