Betty J. Waugaman Obituary

Betty J. (Adams) Waugaman, 83, of Wintersville, OH died Wed., Apr. 14, 2004 at home. She had been ill for five months.

She was born Dec. 10, 1920 in Natrona, PA a daughter of the late Vaughn D. and Marian (Hall) Adams.

Betty was a member of the First Westminister Presbyterian Church of Steubenville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Marcus E. Henry, her second husband Charles Waugaman and her beloved nephew Edward V. Miller.

She is survived by her son Marcus A. (Christina) Henry of Moreno Valley, CA, a sister Marian V. Miller of Port Charlotte, FL, and a foster daughter of nearly forty years Margaret E. Deitch with whom she resided. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held for Betty on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Friends and family will be received from 1:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM with Robert O. Deitch officiating.

In light of the extreme value Betty placed on education it is requested that anyone wishing to honor her memory may donate to the Steubenville High School Scholarship Fund, 932 N. 5th St., Steubenville, OH 43952.
