<p>A Time to Live<br /> Mr. Bennie Houston was born to Donnie Houston and the late Bennie&nbsp;D. Houston on December 25, 1954. He was educated in the Chatham&nbsp;County Public School System. He briefly served in the Military from&nbsp;Aug. 7, 1974 until Nov. 18, 1975. He was baptized at True Vine Church&nbsp;of God in Christ, in Savannah, Ga. At an early age, he met and later&nbsp;married his life long companion Jerrylean Green. Bennie earned&nbsp;several certificates from Savannah Technical College in TV &amp; radio re-pair, nursing assistant and culinary arts. On May 5, 2017 Bennie was&nbsp;ordained as a Deacon at Abundant Life Deliverance Center.&nbsp;</p> <p>A Time to Die<br /> On Thursday May 6, 2021 after a brief illness, Bennie was called home&nbsp;to be with the Lord.</p> <p>A Time to Mourn<br /> Bennie is preceded in death by his father, Bennie D. Houston and&nbsp;brother Willie J. Bailey. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving&nbsp;wife; Jerrylean Houston, two daughters; Yolanda Green (William) and&nbsp;Marehea Sams, one son; Antonio Lewis (Ortavar), A devoted mother;&nbsp;Donnie Houston all of Savannah, Ga., eight grandchildren; Akierra,&nbsp;Chantelle, Kierstan, Yashawn, Lamont, Makayla, Raygen, R&rsquo;yn, one&nbsp;great-grand Ariana Flowers, three brothers; Bruce Campbell (Thelma)&nbsp;of Savannah, Darnell Houston (Denise), of Ridgeland, S.C., and&nbsp;Tyrone Houston (Shana) of Hinesville Ga., Three sisters; Joyce Johnson of Hinesville, Linda Newell (Kenneth) of West Palm Beach, FL.,&nbsp;Adriene Houston Tillman of Savannah, four sisters in law; Annette<br /> Boney, Lorraine Willis (David), Vivian Wright, Barbara Ann Wiggins&nbsp;(Lamont), two brothers in law; Bobby Green, Jerome Green, and a host&nbsp;of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.</p> <p>Memorial services will be held 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Abundant Life Deliverance Center, 2502 Hwy 80 W.
