Plainfield, NJ – Alfonso Arias, 78, passed away at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Born in Arabia, Risaralda, Colombia to the late Anacleto and Esther Sofia (Leon) Arias, Alfonso immigrated to the United States, settling in Plainfield in 1979. He worked as a machine operator for Graphic Packaging in Piscataway, NJ. No matter where Alfonso went, he was the life of the party. He could always be found dancing, joking and laughing. He enjoyed every moment spent with family but his true passion was traveling, especially back home to Colombia to visit his family and friends. Predeceased by eleven siblings; Alfonso is survived by his loving wife Maria and their two daughters; Ericka of West New York and Karen of Fords, his only grandson Daniel Diaz, his brother Jose and his two sisters; Encarnacion and Mercedes. Visitation will be held at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 9:00 am until the 12:00 pm prayer service.
