Milan Rouse, 42, passed May 5, 2021. Live Stream Link: https://youtu.be/hbCelnFwqS4 Milan Lee Rouse was born on June 2, 1978 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Marvin D. Williams, Sr. and Paula L. Rouse. He graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis, IN. A natural-born academic achiever, he went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Union University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership. Milan’s passion for youth development paired with his authentic ability to analytically curate programming has driven him to work in the urban education sector in multiple roles for over 20 years. Not only did he deeply care about the youth of today, which is evident through being a positive role model, he also devoted himself to strategically developing programs for mentorship, community engagement, and leadership training. In February of 2000, he was united in marriage with Miah Lynn Wright, and with this union came 6 children. Milan was a member of both the DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative and a member of The 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc. He was a faithful member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN., where he served as a member of the choir, a Sunday School Teacher for the 4th/5th grade ministry, as well as the young adult ministry. Additionally, Milan devoted 5 months of each year to training for and participating in the renowned Singing Christmas Tree program. In June of 1996, Milan made the decision to confess and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Becoming acquainted with God and devoting his life to perfecting the word of God, everyone who has encountered him could bare witness to his unwavering faith. Milan embodied the word of the Lord through his relationships and leadership within his family. He actively poured himself into his children, teaching them how to be viable and productive servant-leaders with Christ at the helm. Milan Rouse, 42 years of age, made his transition to be with his heavenly Father, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 21 years and life partner Miah Lynn Rouse, 4 sons, Joshua Elon, Michael Savon, Isaiah Keshon, and David Jashon; 2 daughters, Alaiah Dionne and Naomi Mi’lan; his Mother, Paula L.
