Carol Benson KANE Carol Benson, 82, of Sacramento, CA., formerly of Kane, died Friday (April 30, 2021) at the home of her daughter. She was born July 28, 1938, in Kane, the daughter of the late Arnold and Martha L. Johnson. Carol loved spending time with her family, gardening and local travel. She was a member of Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church. For many years, she was employed as a cashier at Tops Market. Surviving are her daughter, Tracey Mercer-Benson of Sacramento; a son, Jamie Benson of Kane; a granddaughter, Sophia Mercer of Sacramento; her brother, Roger (Sharon) Johnson of Kane; two nieces, Michelle (Dennis) Stromberg of Port Allegany and Danielle (Cody) Noble of Kane; a nephew, Roger (Joanna) Johnson Jr. of Raleigh, NC; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Carl Benson and her brother, Dennis C. Johnson. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Pflieger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
