Dorothy Ray Canady

Mrs. Dorothy Ray Canady, 89, transitioned Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at UNC Lenoir Health Care Center. Funeral services will take place 1pm Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at St. Mark Church Ministries. Viewing will be 3-6pm Monday, May 10, 2021 at Mills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Southview Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her father, Christopher Canady and mother, Emma Lee Hart Canady. She leaves to cherish her in memory, daughters: Alice Reid of Leavenworth, KS, Darlene C. Holloway of La Grange, NC, Verna Harts-Whitfield and Cynthia K. Canady both of Kinston, NC; and her sons: Christopher C. Canady of Chesapeake, VA, and Demetrice R. Canady and Elder Ronnie K. Canady, both of Kinston, NC; sixteen grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted to Mills Funeral Home, Inc.
