Garnett Marie Ferrebee, 91, of Paden City, WV died Sunday, May 2, 2021 while at Sistersville Hospital. Garnett was born July 2, 1929 in Sistersville, WV; daughter of the late William August and Hilda (Heinlein) Bauman. A 1947 graduate of Magnolia High School, a homemaker, bookkeeper for the former Hopkins Hardware in Paden City, married William Howard on October 17, 1953, enjoyed being a Voting Poll Worker, glass collector, loved giving pet care, member of the Paden City Glass Society, member of Eastern Star Chapter 50, Wetzel County Democrat Women’s Group and attended Hope Fellowship Church in Middlebourne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Ferrebee; son, William Charles Ferrebee; two brothers, John and Fred Bauman and sister-in-law, Anna Louise Bauman. Surviving are her son, Walter Jay (Cheryl) Ferrebee of Williamstown, WV; daughter, Roberta Essof of Paden City, WV; four grandchildren, Andrew Ferrebee, Jaymie Ferrebee; Lydia Essof and Benjamin Ferrebee; special friend, Becki (Terry) Wilson and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made, in Garnett’s name, to Wetzel County Animal Shelter, 399 Mollahan Dr., New Martinsville, WV 26155 or Paden City Public Library, 114 S Fourth Ave., Paden City, WV 26159.
