Patricia Gale Boyles
Patricia Gale (Climer) Boyles, age 73 of Black River Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, WI. She was born July 7, 1947 to Harry Straight and Suzie Climer in Black River Falls, WI. Following High School, Patricia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She loved being a nurse and caring for others. She was awarded the Nurse of the Year Award by the Native American Indian Nurses Association (NAINA). Patricia was proud of her heritage and appreciated learning about genealogy. She was active within the native community and loved socializing with family and friends. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and also used to do stand-up comedy. Patricia was a great cook, always trying new recipes and sharing family meals. She also enjoyed movies and playing Yahtzee. Patricia is survived by her children, Wesley “Bud” Boyles, Renice “Beth” Craven-Steele (Gregory Stevenson), Carly and Ted YellowCloud; grandchildren, April Pierce, Payge Zamarripa, Ralph Pierce, Russell Walker, Anthony Walker, Christopher YellowCloud and Bentley Boyles; brother Gary (Millie) Climer; sister Betty (Joe) Conley; her Aunt Bertha Thompson and special friend/significant other Kevin Monfort. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Boyles; her son, Christopher Craven; granddaughter, Lori Pierce; father, Harry Straight; mother, Suzie Climer; and sister, Jeanie Climer. Funeral Services for Patricia will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls with Clayton Winneshiek officiating. Burial will follow in the Decorah Cemetery. Visitation will take place from on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday, both at the Funeral Home.
