Dennis Joseph Bell

Dennis J. Bell was born May 14, 1950 in Joliet, Illinois and passed peacefully at home and walked painlessly into the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ on February 18, 2021 in Conroe, TX. After he graduated from Joliet West High School, he enlisted in the Army Reserves from March of 1971 to March of 1977. He was employed at Texaco Lockport Refinery in Lockport, Illinois until he was transferred to Houston, TX where he was employed by several oil companies. In March of 2005 he retired from Shell Oil Company. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Margaret (Peggy) (nee Bajt); loving daughter, Tamara (Tammy) Scotty McGee of Spring, TX; cherished granddaughter, Abigail (Abby) McGee; brothers and sister, Br. Eric (LaVerne) Bell, O. Carm., Lynn and Henry (Hank) Koppleman, Bernard and Michelle (Shelley) Bell, Gerald and Cynthia Bell; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Howard and Rosemary (nee Calcaterra) Bell. Dennis had many passions in life which included volunteering for many causes and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He loved garage sales, antiques, antique clocks, and to travel. He loved it so much that he started his own travel business where his clients became his close friends. Dennis was also a member of the American Legion Unit 305, The Woodlands, TX. Dennis was so loved and will be missed immensely, but now we know he is healed. The family will be having a memorial service and reception at Faith United Methodist Church located at 2403 Rayford Rd.
