<p>Chief Master Sergeant Joel Edward Strader, USAF Retired, 75, of Galesburg Illinois, died at 7:18 a.m. Monday, April 19,2021, at Heartland Healthcare, Galesburg.</p> <p>&nbsp;He was born September 10, 1945 in Galesburg, son of William &ldquo;Willie&rdquo; and Edra (Young) Strader. He later married Anna M. Wilt, June 19, 1966 in Galesburg.</p> <p>&nbsp;He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anna Strader of Galesburg; his son, Chad W. Strader of Galesburg, his daughter, Buffy S. Strader of Galesburg, his cousin, Marc&nbsp;(Diana) Young and 2 grandchildren, Austin Strader and Dylan Strader and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents and brother, Stanley Strader.</p> <p>&nbsp;Joel served in the Air Force for 30 years as a Chief Master Sergeant (CMS).</p> <p>&nbsp;Joel graduated from Galesburg High School in 1963 and earned his Bachelors degree at Chapman University in California. Joel enjoyed Metal Detecting, working on cars and collecting antique radios during his free time. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Galesburg. Joel was a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).</p> <p>&nbsp;Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday April, 24, 2021 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Greg Fitch officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW, American Legion and AMVet Honor Guard at the funeral home. Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required Cremation will be accorded following services. A Celebration of Joel&rsquo;s Life will be held at a later date when all can gather. Memorials made be made to Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association. Chief Master Sergeant Joel Edward Strader, USAF Retired, 75, of Galesburg Illinois, died at 7:18 a.m. Monday, April 19,2021, at Heartland Healthcare, Galesburg.

 He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anna Strader of Galesburg; his son, Chad W. Strader of Galesburg, his daughter, Buffy S.
