Fredrick Dean Good a resident of Tomball, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2021, at the age of 84 due to his prolonged illness with COPD.

Fred was laid to rest at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery in Duncan, Oklahoma on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 12:30 PM in a family graveside service. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitt Funeral Home in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Fred, one of 4 children, was born on June 11, 1936 in Zearing, Iowa to Sam and Waneta Good.

Fred grew up helping his father in the family business until graduating high school and being drafted into the service of the United States Army. He served honorably and was given the rank of sergeant before receiving his honorable discharge. While stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma he met his wife Norma Janice Sutherland(Jan).

In 1965, Fred obtained his bachelor's degree in business from Oklahoma University in Norman, Oklahoma while supporting a wife and two children.

He went on to a 30-year career with The Hartford Insurance Company that began in Oklahoma City as a claim representative. In 1970 he was transferred to Tulsa to manage the Tulsa claims office and then retiring from Hartford in the Houston, Texas office in 1995.

Upon retirement Fred and Jan enjoyed fulltime RVing until they settled down in Tomball, Texas in 2010.

Fred was survived by his daughter, Robin Floyd and husband George of Livingston, Texas and his son Martin Good of Choctaw, Oklahoma.

His 3 granddaughters: Jennifer Pitts and husband Howard of Roanoke, Texas; Jaimee Chumley and husband Jerrod of Tomball, Texas; and Staci Good of Midlothian, Texas.

Also, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 1 sister, and his cat, Zoe.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jan, his parents, and 2 sisters.
