Mr. Ronald T. Craddolph, Sr.
<p>Ronald Talmadge Craddolph Sr. passed away on Sunday April 18, 2021. "Ron", as he was called by family and friends, was born November 6, 1931 in Gallipolis City, Ohio to Talmadge Judson Craddolph and Ella Marie Brown.</p> <p>He entered the United States military in 1947. He completed his education and received a certificate at the etajima US Naval academy where he finished a course in military law in court reporting stenography. He proceeded to serve his country valiantly as a wartime combatant soldier prior to being honorably discharged from service in 1952. Thereafter, he met and married Shirley Bernice Bell during the time he was a college ROTC instructor at Prairie View A&M University in Texas where his wife was studying to become a registered surgical nurse.</p> <p>Arising out of this union three children were born. Some of the places he resided along his travels during his military service were Ohio, Texas, Newfoundland, Massachusetts, and a host of other places before settling in Kansas City, Missouri. He raised a family, and worked in management at the Ford Motor Company of Kansas City until his retirement. He was also a long time member of Heart Of America Golf Club Inc.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his father Talmadge Judson Craddolph ,mother Ella Marie Brown, his wife Shirley Bernice Craddolph, and siblings Ginger Brown, Joyce Hopkins, Peggy Bateman, Sherry Strong, Lona Carr(Bonnie), and Gary Craddolph.</p> <p>He is survived by his two sons, Ronald T. Craddolph Jr. (spouse Regina) of Kansas City, MO., Byron Craddolph of Blue Springs, MO., daughter Alyissa Gayle Craddolph- Hughes (Virgil Troutwine Jr) of Blue Springs, MO., six grandchildren, Megan Hughes of Blue Springs, MO., Rachel Craddolph of Washington DC., Leonard Jonas Hughes of Blue Springs, MO., Roland Craddolph of Kansas City, MO., twins Edwin and Everett Winston of Virgina, two great grandchildren, Jaisen and Gavin Gaier of Blue Springs, MO., his brother and sister Warner Craddolph and Jill Lomax from Columbus, Ohio, and a host of other family and friends.</p> <p>Memorial services will be held next Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face coverings are required.
