Mrs. Mildred Ola Evans Kendrick Obituary

Mildred Ola Evans Kendrick was born on September 11, 1944 to the late William M. Evans and the late Minnie Bell Bivins Evans in Atlanta, GA. She was the 11th, of 14 children born to her parents union. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 18, 2021 at the University Hospital in Augusta, GA. Mildred was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Warrenton, GA. At a very young age, Mildred’s family moved to Warrenton, GA where she attended and graduated from the Warren County School System of Georgia. Mildred was employed for many years in the textile industry. She worked for the former Garland and Health-Tex companies. Later in life, she was gainfully employed with the Warren County Board of Education as Food Service Employee within the school cafeteria until she retired. Mildred’s favorite past-time was spending quality time with her family members and friends, especially her great-grandkids. In addition to her parents, our beloved Mildred Ola Kendrick is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Marion Henry Kendrick; four sisters, Naomi Evans, Clara Liowns, Dorothy Benton and Beatrice Nicely; four brothers, Emory Evans, William Evans Jr., Johnny Evans ;and Bobby Evans. Left to cherish her most precious memories: two daughters, April (Samuel) Green of Augusta, GA and Angela Kendrick of Reidsville, NC; three grandchildren, Deverick Allen of Warrenton, GA, Jamyea (Bianca) Tolbert and Mykevias Tolbert, both of Thomson, GA; three great-grandchildren, Kaidyn Tolbert of Thomson, GA, A’myri Tolbert of Augusta, GA and Major Tolbert of Thomson, GA; a god-daughter, Mary (Clinton) Jenkins of Warrenton, GA; four sisters, Virginia Marshall of Atlanta, GA, Geneva Hill of Warrenton, GA, Walter Mae Moss of Decatur, GA and Tessie Mae Evans of Warrenton, GA; two sisters-in-law, Sophie Harris and Lanie Kendrick, both of Thomson, GA; one brother-in-law, Charles Lee (Gloria) Kendrick of Thomson, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
