Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 17, 2021, Capt. Charles Dowden of Carbonear, age 85 years. Predeceased by parents: Stephen and Frances; brother: Eli (Wilma); nephew: Stephen 'Steve'. Leaving to mourn, wife: Annie; three daughters: Frances (Glenn) Moores, Susan, and Roxanne (Kevin); five sons: Charlie, Terry, David, Rod (Sheila), and Stephen; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother: Jim (Lina); also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation on Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 21 from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear, by invitation only. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
