In loving memory of Carmen E. Starr, 90 years. Peacefully Thursday, April 15th, 2021 at Walford on the Park, Copper Cliff. Beloved son of Vernon and Leona Starr both predeceased. Loving brother of Eva “Merle” Luckhardt (husband John predeceased), Leona Joan Soepboer (husband Carl), Donna Lynn Kenney (husband Ray) both predeceased, and Elizabeth “Beth” Starr predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Carmen was a retired INCO stationary engineer. He was a devout Anglican. Carmen volunteered for many worthy causes, always quick to help others. He was well-known in Copper Cliff for delivering Sears catalogues. He had been a dedicated Oddfellow. He was very proud of his 42 years of sobriety. He will be remembered as a genuine and humble person. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-5pm Monday. Due to COVID-19 directives, 25 people or fewer permitted in the visitation room; face masks are mandatory.) Funeral Service in St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 34 Godfrey Dr., Copper Cliff, Tuesday, April 20th, 2021 at 1:15pm. (20 people or fewer are permitted in the church; face masks are mandatory). Interment in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery, Listowel, at 1pm Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
