Megan Elizabeth Harold Enyart Springfield, Oregon Obituary

Megan Elizabeth Harold Enyart

Megan Elizabeth Harold Enyart was born February 12, 1966, in Eugene Oregon, the first child of Tim and Judy Harold. She had two younger siblings, Courtney Harold Van Houtven and Benjamin Harold. All three grew up on Kelly Butte with a tight knit bunch of kids. She graduated from Springfield High School (SHS Millers). As a senior she loved joining the first women’s soccer term that SHS ever fielded. Her love of children drove Megan to work incredibly hard (with her Dad as her tutor) to earn an Associate’s Degree at Lane County Community College in Early Childhood Development. After LCC she worked from 1991-93 as a nanny in Portland for her cousin Tracy, caring for Emma and Sophie. Later Megan worked in the kitchen at Fruit and Flower Daycare and knew and loved every child there. She returned to Springfield in 1998 and shortly thereafter met Timothy Enyart, the line chef at a corporate cafeteria where they both worked. They married in summer 2002 and separated 10 years later but remained best friends and talked every day until Tim’s death in December 2020. Megan’s last job was at Timber Pointe Senior Living in the dining room. She loved the residents and her co-workers there. Megan blossomed in recent years as she was a part of a community of friends old and new on Facebook and she continued to be a treasured cousin to her 37 first cousins, niece to her 22 uncles and aunties and auntie to her five nieces and nephews. She lived in Springfield these last years and remained close to her parents all of her life. Megan is survived by her father Timothy J Harold, her mother Judith E Harold, her sister Courtney H Van Houtven, her brother Benjamin D Harold, her adored brother- and sister-in-law George L Van Houtven and Tiffany C Harold, and her five nieces and nephews, Dominic H Van Houtven, Charlotte E Van Houtven, Jacob C Harold, Louis J Van Houtven and Olivia K Harold. Megan will be buried at Memorial Gardens, Springfield. There will be a funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 11 am on Tuesday, April 20th. For those who would like to honor Megan’s memory with a donation, Relief Nursery is a great option, a non-profit to help at-risk mothers and their children in Springfield and Eugene (reliefnursery.org). Arrangements entrusted to Springfield Memorial Funeral Home. Please access the obituary and you are invited to sign the guestbook at musgroves.com
