<p>Funeral Mass for Willie Joe Benjamin will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport with Fr. John Wiltse officiating. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Cottonport.</p> <p>Willie Joe Benjamin, 76, a resident of Cottonport passed away on, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home in Dupont.</p> <p>He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Stephanie Laurent, Shalonda Benjamin, Kelly Bradford, and Sherry Bradford; sons, Anthony Benjamin Williams, Brent Bradford, Christopher Bradford, and Shon Bradford; brothers, Russell Benjamin, Andrew Benjamin, and Michael Benjamin. He is also survived by his 35 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his children, Willie Ray Washington, Sharow Bradford, and Willie Benjamin, Jr.; his wife; Mary Lacarte Benjamin; his parents, William Ben Benjamin, Sr. and Gladys Williams Benjamin.</p> <p>Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport.</p> <p>Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home (318-964-2324) 6608 Porterie.
