Cyril FitzGerald

Cyril FitzGerald 1944 – 2021 With the heaviest of hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Cyril Woodrow Llewellyn Fitzgerald, age 76 years, at the Health Science Centre, April 15, 2021. Cyril left an unforgettable imprint on this world as a loving and devoted husband of 48 years; tender and proud father; kind and gentle grandfather; and, cheerful and charismatic friend. His hard-work and dedication to helping others over the years, both as a remarkable school teacher and a family history enthusiast, will be sorely missed but will live on in treasured memories. Predeceased by his mother and father, Amelia (1967) and Llewellyn (1993); and, brothers, Winston (1998) and Clifford (2003). Left with fond and everlasting memories: his loving wife, Dinah; children, Shawn (Sharon), Scott (Kelly), and Shari (Christopher); grandchildren, Sophie, Samuel, and Isaac; and, a close circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Special thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Health Science Centre, particularly the staff of 4NA and the Comfort Care team for providing respectful and compassionate support during his final weeks in hospital. Visitation will take place at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 10 am – 1:30 pm. A private funeral service in All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap with interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road. Please, no flowers, by request.
