Allen Fred Thrasher

Allen Fred Thrasher, age 69, of Oneonta, Alabama died Wednesday, October 23, 2019. He was preceded in death by parents William Walton and Helen Clare Thrasher, brother Gregory Walton Thrasher and grandchildren Emma and Oliver Hicks. He is survived by brother Jon (Debra) Thrasher; sisters Janet (Roy) Neil, Linda (Bert) Baty, Shirley (Walter) Dolen; children Rebecca Thrasher, Laura (Josh) Hicks, Linda (Sammy) Hodges, Jennifer Thrasher; grandchildren Benjamin Hicks, Ryleigh Austin-Thrasher; 9 nieces and nephews and devoted friend Ann Beaird. His greatest passions were his love for building and a good cup of coffee. Celebration of Life will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Tuesday, October 29, 2019 6-8 p.m. with coffee and light refreshments. Family suggests donations be made to the Alabama Woodworkers Guild or UAB Neurological research in lieu of flowers. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Nebraska. Lemley Funeral Home and Crematory directing.
