Abingdon, VA – Susie Lee Thayer Blevins, age 96, passed on Friday, April 9, 2021.  Susie was a graduate of Bethel High School and a lifelong member of Washington Chapel United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Sue Thayer; husband, Harold Blevins; son, Gerald Blevins; brothers, James Thayer, Jr. and Hunter Thayer; and sisters, Ruby Price, Helen Thayer, Anna Belle Call, and Peggy Arnold.  Susie is survived by her children, Randall T. (Claudia) Blevins of Abingdon, VA, Judy (Bobby) Thomas of Abingdon, VA, Glenna (Rev. Mark) McFadden of Galax, VA, and Susan (Jay) Barringer of Eldersburg, MD; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Blevins of Cornelius, NC; and several nieces and nephews.    Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark McFadden and Rev.
