Eileen R. Gould, age 87 of West Winfield passed away at Waterville Residential Care Center, on April 6th 2021, with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 28th, 1934 in Leonardsville, a daughter of the late William and Mabel O’Dell (Bivvins). She was educated in the Oneonta City School District. Eileen was married to Edward L. Gould for 15 years, until his passing in 1975. She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as three brothers. Eileen was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at the Presbyterian Nursing Home for 20 years where she compassionately gave of herself, as she loved the residents there. She was a proud member of the Bridgewater Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed supporting them and marching in local parades. Eileen also liked playing in shuffleboard tournaments with her friends. She devoted her spare time to crafts crocheting, knitting, and plastic canvas were her favorites. She enjoyed sharing her projects with friends and teaching others. She liked to attend various churches in the area and enjoyed coffee hour with her friends at the Scott House. She has touched the hearts of many people and was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are her children David E. (Judy) Gould, Joanne (Charlie) Denton, Debbie (Joe) Barletta; grandchildren Vanessa, Nicole, Joey, Brandon, Derek, Brittany, Don, Jim, and Bethel; as well as 22 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Waterville Residential Care Center for their care and compassion towards Eileen and for their attention to the family. Friends are invited to call on the family from 5 to 7 on Thursday, April 15th at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, West Winfield. Interment will be in Cedarville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
