<p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Georgette Ida Pemberton, 63, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Southside St. Louis City, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Heartland Care and Rehab, in Cape Girardeau, where she had been a resident for a short time.<br /> <br /> She was born October 1, 1957 in St. Louis, daughter of George and Margaret Anthony Gregory.<br /> <br /> Georgette's life was her family; she received her greatest enjoyment from spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her younger days, Georgette was quite the fisherman. She looked forward to yard sales, shopping, eating out, and visiting Grafton, Illinois on the Great River Road, where she would be sure to ride the ferries, and stop by the wineries and antique shops.<br /> <br /> Georgette was a Christian and was of the Catholic Faith.<br /> <br /> Loving survivors include her life's love of over 30 years, Kenneth Dunlap of Festus, Missouri; three children, Krystal (Nate) Yarbrough of Oak Ridge, Kimberly Dunlap and Donald Pemberton; grandchildren, Colton and Michael Yarbrough, Brittany, Kayley, and Leland Pemberton, Lejla Colic, Donald Pemberton Jr, and Lucilia Pemberton; and a best friend, Jacque Pemberton of St. Louis.<br /> <br /> She was preceded in death by her parents.<br /> <br /> A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday, April 17, 2021 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
