Ralph Munsey

Ralph Munsey, 63, of Chesapeake, VA passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Born on March 21, 1958, he was the son of Texanna J. Munsey and the late Richard Garland Munsey. He was a 1976 graduate of Kellam High School and a 1992 graduate of ODU, earning a BS in Chemistry. Ralph retired from BASF Chemical Company in 2019, having worked at the Suffolk plant for 27 years. He spent most of his career as a safety specialist. Ralph enjoyed reading, movies, music, yardwork, and pursuing projects around the house. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Joy; his mom, Texanna J. Munsey; sisters, Toni Lockwood and her husband Billy, and Becky Gregory and her husband Robert; nieces and nephews, Beth Ann, Aaron, Scott, and Audrey; and great-nephews, Morgan and Ezekiel. A private ceremony will be held in Georgia at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Ralph’s name to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
