Sylvester Bradley Miller

Sylvester Bradley "Boo" "Jess" Miller, age 90, of Meadowview, Va. and formerly of High Point, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He retired from Food Country where he worked as a picker and he was a faithful attender of High Point Baptist Church in Meadowview. Sylvester was preceded in death by his parents, Graham Miller and Bertha Gobble Miller; two brothers, Maynard Miller and Willard Miller; and two sisters, Beulah Reynolds and Ruby Reynolds.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Geneva Pierce Miller; son, Dean Miller and wife, Whitney, of Blountville, Tenn.; daughter, Brenda Woods of Abingdon, Va.; three brothers, Herman Miller of Bristol, Va., Ballard Miller and wife, Peggy, of Abingdon, Va., and Wayford Miller and wife, Lois, of Meadowview, Va.; three grandchildren, Bill Fisher, Chris Fisher, and Tamara Woods; great granddaughter, Rebecca Harris; great-great granddaughters, Lily and Journee Harris; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.   A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Robby Coggins officiating.
