Sharon Lee Lawrence Juneau, Alaska Obituary

Sharon Lee Lawrence

Lifelong Juneau resident Sharon Lee Lawrence, 77, earned her wings on March 11, 2021 peacefully while at home. Sharon was born September 13, 1943 in Juneau, Alaska, to Violet Erickson and Chuck Aubert Sr. She graduated from Juneau Douglas High School and married the love of her life William J. Lawrence Jr in 1962. While William was in the Coast Guard for over 20 years they traveled around the country, ultimately returning to Juneau to raise their family. She was an accomplished seamstress and owned her own shop for many years. She enjoyed playing the accordion, square dancing and playing in her garden. In retirement she enjoyed volunteering on the Juneau 4th of July committee, watching the abundant wildlife (especially the bears), and most of all spending time with her family, grandkids and great grandkids. She is survived by her Brother Charles and Kathy Aubert and their children David, Tammy and Wendy of Washington. Her Son William Lawrence and Daughter-in-law Misti Hogberg and their children Jason, Joshua and Maelee of Juneau AK. Her Daughter Victoria Scharen and her children Blaine and Jessica Scharen, Rebecca and Aaron Ingraham, Anna Scharen and Mike, Lizabeth and Chase Mitchell, Chris, Alex and several Great Grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, Husband and Son-in-law David Scharen. She was loved dearly and will always be missed. The family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
