Barbara Ann Rogers Obituary

Waynesville, Barbara Ann Conard Rogers, age 71, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital. Barbara was a native of Swain County and was the daughter of the late Floyd Woodrow and Geneva Mae Gaddis Conard. She was also preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph Horace Rogers. Barbara was employed by Barberville Baptist Church of which she was a dedicated member and was loyal to attending church services. She loved the Lord, adored her family and had a special place in her heart for animals. Barbara will be remembered for having a wonderful sense of humor and placing smiles on all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Joseph H. Rogers, Jr., of Clyde, Kelley Messer, and her husband, Bobby and David E. Rogers, all of Waynesville; one sister-in-law, Faye Rathbone, of Mooresville, North Carolina; four sisters, Linda Gentry, Betty Rathbone, both of Waynesville, Gracie Louise Judd, of Wisconsin and Alice Bradley, of Waynesville; one brother, Floyd "Junior" Conard, Jr., of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Dylan Messer, Takoda Rogers and Damien Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Barberville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Barberville Baptist Church with Reverend Kris Estep officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
