On April 4, 2021 Melvin E. Dittmar Jr. passed away at age 72. He was the beloved husband of the late Melody Dittmar; devoted father of Dawn Fleming and fiancé Ronnie, Robin Taylor and husband Michael, Cathleen Zeps and husband George; cherished grandfather of Michael, Paul and Fiance Jenna, David, Josh, Joey, Warren, Zachary, Wyatt, Colton, Chelsea, Karli and Dillon; loving great grandfather of Michael III, Caiden, Dalton, Brellia, Jace, Camden, Maycem, and Landon; dear brother of Nola Dittmar, Doris Sweitzer and late husband David, Allen Dittmar and wife Jane, Penny Shorter, Donna Storms and husband Mark, Timothy Dittmar and wife Lisa.

    A Memorial Service will be held in Jenkins Memorial Church, 133 Riviera Dr., Pasadena, Md. 21122 on Thursday, April 15 at 11 AM. Kindly arrive by 10:45 AM. Inurnment will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to Jenkins Memorial Church in Mr. Dittmar's name.
