Lillian Mary Grewe
<p> Lillian M. Grewe, age 100, a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., formerly of Chicago, IL. and Greenville, MI. passed away on April 8, 2021 at The Palms of Ponte Vedra. Lillian was born on April 18, 1920 in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. She grew up in Chicago, IL. moved to Greenville, MI. with her husband and family in the mid1950’s, and then to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. in 2010. While in Greenville, Lillian was an active member of The First Congregational Church of Greenville. She was a volunteer first grade reader at Greenville Elementary Schools and was a Founding Friend of the Greenville Public Library.</p> <p>Lillian was the loving wife of the late Alois (Al) Joseph Grewe for 57 years, whom she married during World War II on September 11, 1943. Al preceded her in death on February 17, 2000. She is survived by her daughter Donna (Walter) Jawor of Ponte Vedra Beach. She was the beloved grandmother of Debra (Antoine) Mourad of Maisons-Laffitte, France, Kathryn (Steve) Yingling of North Aurora, IL., Julie (Eric) Nelson of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., Jennifer Jawor of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., Alison (Brian) Michalek of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., and the adored great grandmother to Liliane, Alexander, and Sophie Mourad, Liam Yingling, Zoe Nelson, and Pierce Michalek. Lillian was preceded in death by her dear daughter Diane (David) Utterback of Naperville, IL. on Monday, November 19, 2018. She was a fond aunt, great aunt and friend to many.</p> <p>A memorial service will be held at the Quinn Shalz Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach, FL. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11am. </p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lillian's name to MSAA (Multiple Sclerosis Association of America), https://secure.mymsaa.org/site/Donation.</p>Obituary
