Leanora Lightburne, 61, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at 10:35 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2021, in her home. She was born January 20, 1960, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Burrel and Karolyn (Ullmer) Lightburne. Leanora worked on the assembly line at Whirlpool. In her free time, she enjoyed scrap booking and camping. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and was very giving to others. Leanora had two dogs named Jada and Jiblet. Preceded her in death was her parents. Surviving are her three siblings, Leisa Lightburne of Michigan City, Leon Lightburne of Tennessee and Larry (Jennie) Lightburne of Florida; six nieces and nephews, L.J. Lightburne, Jenna (Cason) Lightburne Nau, Leon Lee Lightburne, Miah Lightburne, Amanda (Adan) Stewart Lopez and Jeffrey (Rocia) Stewart; her lifelong friends, Leigh Ann Bartrum and Charlene Tyler. A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the D.A.V., 2301 Ohio St, Michigan City, IN 46360. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W.
