<p>HARDING, Winnifred May (1925-2021) -</p><p><br></p><p>Passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the age of 96. Now reunited with her loving husband of 70 years, the late Roderick James Harding. Devoted mother of Andy (Edna), Peter (Tracey), Mary (Rich Hueston) and predeceased by her son Matthew (Joanne). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>After a lengthy career as a pension specialist at Moore Corporation, May relished the new opportunities retirement offered. She enjoyed an active role at Martin Grove United Church, including chairing the Worship Committee. She was able to indulge her special love of literature at Rexdale Library. She combined her love of books with her love of people in the Tea and Books group there. But she wasn’t just a consumer of books, she also produced a trove of memoirs, which have become a priceless gift of family history.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Chartwell Scarlett Heights Residence for their extraordinary care. Friends will be received at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Ave. (north of Rexdale Blvd.), on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 4-8 p.m., with physical distancing protocols. The family requests, those who wish to attend are fully vaccinated for COVID - 19. Mrs. Harding's memorial service will take place in the funeral home chapel, on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:30am. Limited seating available. Please RSVP through the website. For those who wish to watch virtually, a webcast funeral will take place at: https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/may-harding The family requests any consideration of donations to be directed to the ALS Society.</p>
