Marie Branham Wilson

Marie Branham Wilson, age 78, of Shady Spring, WV formerly of Buchanan County and Raven, VA passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 following a car accident. She was born in Buchanan County and was the daughter of the late Marion and Irene Coleman Ratliff. Marie was a member of the Rowe Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed going to church and was an awesome prayer warrior. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and half-brothers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family in her generation. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 59 years, Lincous Wilson; one daughter, Sandi Linzy and husband Mark; one granddaughter, Kierstin Adkins and fiancée Michael Zutaut; two grandsons, Joel Linzy and Jordan Linzy; many nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10th at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Steve Perkins officiating. The Harmony Gospel Singers will be singing during the service. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Commonwealth of Virginia Mandate, facial coverings and social distancing are required at all times.
