<p><strong>Barbara Ann Davis</strong></p> <p>Age 92, of Oakmont, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Davis; loving mother of Reed (fianc&eacute;&nbsp;Renata Jenkin) Davis, and Scott (Barbara) Davis; mother-in-law to Maggie Davis; grandmother of Zach (Casi) Davis, Elizabeth (Jason) Zembrycki, Alex (Masatoshi) Sato, Zane (fianc&eacute;&nbsp;Victoria Tan) Davis; great-grandmother of Savannah Davis and Everett Davis.&nbsp;Barb was born and raised in McKeesport before moving to Cleveland, where she attended high school. She then graduated from Kent State University, where she met the love of her life Hugh Davis.&nbsp;&nbsp;Upon graduating, Barb and Hugh moved to Pittsburgh where she started a kindergarten program in Penn Hills. While raising her young family, she became very involved with the Penn Hills Presbyterian Church, the Penn Hills Civic Assoc. and was co-founder of Penn Hills Meals on Wheels. Following her passion for helping people decorate on a shoestring budget, Barb opened&nbsp;The Choir Loft, a furniture and design store in Verona.&nbsp;&nbsp;It was located in an abandoned church being operated as a used car lot in the 70&rsquo;s.&nbsp;&nbsp;Barbara&nbsp;grew her store to become one of Pittsburgh&rsquo;s premier design centers. She was frequently invited to design rooms for the Junior League show-houses. Barb loved studying cookbooks and entertaining and passed this on to her children. She lived by her rule that every day you need to find something good that happened and something funny. She was admired for her many wonderful traits: her wit, thoughtfulness and sense of style and will be missed by all who knew her.&nbsp;A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, at 11:00 a.m., in Kerr Presbyterian Church, 157 Bridge St.&nbsp;Verona, PA 15147.&nbsp;To watch the service live on zoom:&nbsp;&nbsp;On the day of the service go to&nbsp;kerrchurch.org. There will be a link on the home page that will take you to the service. Arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Center in Hollywood, 6636 Selma Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the homeless where Alex Sato serves as the Deputy Director, or to Kerr Church, 157 Bridge Street, Verona PA 15147.</p>
