<p>John A. DellaGuistina, 63, passed away Sunday April 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, April 4, 1958, the son of the late Arthur and Maureen (Hickey) DellaGuistina. John was a graduate of West Springfield High School and worked as a sales representative for Lorillard for many years. John was a good friend to all with an unmatched sense of humor and kindness and a willingness to help anyone any time. He loved fishing, camping, animals, and nature and was passionate about spending time outdoors, especially at Ashmere Lake. John was a lifelong Bruins fan and ice hockey player who loved to skate with his daughters. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him and cherished time spent with family, friends, and his beloved dog, Lillie. He was the best dad, husband, and brother anyone could ask for. He leaves his wife and love of his life, Janet (Guthrie) DellaGuistina, his beloved daughters, Amy DellaGuistina and her fianc&eacute; Cecily Varvitsotis of Somerville and Julie DellaGuistina of Glastonbury, his siblings, James of Hadley, Denise DellaGuistina and her husband Stephen Martin of Agawam and Elizabeth Bonafilia and her husband Richard of West Springfield and his nieces and nephews. All services are private and the Toomey-O&rsquo;Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.</p>
