Elizabeth M. Lonergan

<p>Elizabeth M. Lonergan, 60, of Fredericksburg, beloved wife, mother, grandmother &ldquo;Mimi&rdquo;, sister, aunt, and friend to so, so many slipped peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, April 5, 2021.</p> <p>She was retired from teaching pre-school at Ferry Farm Baptist Church pre-school.&nbsp; She was also active in the mission and ministry of St. Matthias United Methodist Church, the Greater Fredericksburg Emmaus Community, and participated in mission trips to Honduras under the auspices of World Gospel Outreach.</p> <p>Elizabeth&rsquo;s world revolved around her faith and her family, especially her grandchildren.&nbsp; She had an infectious smile that would light up the room.</p> <p>Survivors include her husband, Patrick; sons James T. Morris (Michelle), Geoffrey P. Morris (Brittany), Paul A. Morris (Ashley), Michael P. Lonergan and Matthew J. Lonergan; grandchildren Sawyer Morris, Jack Morris, Graham Morris, Kinsley Duke, Harper G. Morris, and Noah Lonergan; as well as her brother, Donald Pierce (Grace); niece Jennifer Pierce and nephew Drew Pierce.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon F. Pierce Jr., and Lenore E. Pierce (Thorson); and numerous brothers and sister-in-law. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 11 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 12 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge at 21 Cool Springs Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22405. Elizabeth M. Lonergan, 60, of Fredericksburg, beloved wife, mother, grandmother “Mimi”, sister, aunt, and friend to so, so many slipped peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, April 5, 2021.
