Mr. Ronald Jones Obituary

Mr. Ronald Jones was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 5, 1963, to James L. Jones and Wileyvee Brown.

Ronald was educated in St. Louis public schools, Beaumont High School, until he moved to Los Angeles. There he continued his education at Cleveland High School, where he excelled in academics and sports.

Ronald believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and attended many churches. He married LaVoris Jones on July 21, 1990.

Ronald had an outgoing personality. He was very comical, always having a way to make people smile and laugh when he walked in a room, even if they were mad. He loved sports, especially basketball, and was very athletic. When it came to dress, he was one of the men in the family who dressed to impress, especially when he wore his hats. Several members of the family loved to mimic him, especially Darnell. He was known for being a people person, along with his humorous and creative personality. A family man at heart, not only did he raise his kids, but he was a father fi gure to many. When you needed something fi xed, you knew who to call. As the jack of all trades, he could fi x any and everything at a “PRICE,” and was Dependable Handyman RONALD JONES.

Ronald transitioned home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 5, 2021.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, James L. Jones; three brothers, Reginald Jones, Sylvester Johnson, and Michael Jones; his father-in-law Paul Rice, Sr., and one sister-in-love, Audrey Lampley.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, LaVoris Jones; mother, Wileyvee Brown; mother-in-law, Betty Allen; one son, Quinton Jones; one daughter, LaRhonda Jones-Johnson (Richard Johnson); six brothers, James L. Johnson, Albert Kinnard (Marie), Renard Jones, Patrick Johnson (Karen), Keith Johnson, and Leron Johnson (Cheryl); three brothers-in-law, Nathan Allen (Sarah), Paul Rice, Jr. (Tab), and John Allen (Violet); seven sisters, Rosemary Madison (Jerome), Michelle “Shirley” Jones, Sharon Burnett, Rochelle James, Dorothy “Bede” Pargo (Gregory), Sylvia Hopper-Kontz, and Renee “his favorite Nae Nae” Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Pamela Allen and Lisa Winston (Andy); eight grandchildren, DaShaun Jones, Azaria Joiner, Keevon Donegan, Mashaylee Jones, Mariyana Jones, TaByas Johnson, Amani Johnson, and Dreyden Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
