Allen R. ‘Bud’ Smith June 9, 1939 – April 4, 2021 Allen R. “Bud” Smith, 81, of Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday at home. He was born in Alum Bank, son of the late Elwood and Ethel (McMaster) Smith. Bud was preceded in death by his former wife, Delores, who passed on Dec. 16, 1997; he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby, who passed on Sept. 27, 2011. Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Smith and Julie Manherz; two step-children; two grandchildren, Matthew Gorman (Brittany) and Mackenzie Manherz; two great-grandchildren, Braydon and Bailee Gorman; and six brothers and sisters: Kay Imler, Elsie Sheeder, Sally Yenser, Cindy Kamper, Kenneth Smith and Terry Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ponder; and his brother, Robert. Bud enjoyed mowing, sitting outside watching hummingbirds, tending to his roses and candle making. He worked at Norfolk Southern as a welder and had various truck driving jobs. Bud was a member of the National Guard. All services will be privately held for the family. Interment will take place in Alto Reste Park. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
