Norma Jean Hollars
Norma Jean Hollars, 92, of Smithville passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her residence. Born December 16, 1928 in Smithville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ralph “Red” and Mary (Collins) Hazel. Norma was a member of Sanders Pentecostal Church, and enjoyed traveling, painting, drawing, and landscaping. Her dog, Calista, brought her great joy, and was always at Norma’s side. Norma is survived by her children, Ralph Osborne (Carol), Danny Hollars (Teresa), Jed (Sally) Hollars, and John Godwin, grandchildren, Misty, Amy, Greg David, Greg Scott, Heather, Angie, James Andrew, Amber, Casey, Adam, and Joshua, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces, Julie and Nancy. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hollars, daughter, Lisa Sexton, parents, and sister, Margaret Brewington. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401. A graveside service will be at 10:30am on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.December 16, 1928 - April 4, 202112/16/192804/04/2021
