Amelia Chavez Garcia

Garcia, Amelia  
Age 90, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on July 16, 1930. Amelia was an avid bingo player. She also took joy in dancing, gardening and cooking. She was the head of her family and has a part in everyone's life and upbringing. She enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. She took to reality TV and enjoyed her shows. Until we meet again. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Garcia; parents, Ramon and Dolores Chavez; daughter, Katherine Maldonado; grandsons, Chris Maldonado, James Rodarte; siblings, Raymond Chavez, Rica Best; son in laws, Antonio Perea, Richard Maldonado and Rudy Silva. 
Amelia is survived by her children, Susan Perea, Margaret Silva, Louise Garcia; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 7:00-8:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary~Chapel of Angels, 624 8th Street SW. A final viewing will be on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 1:30 pm, Mass to be celebrated at 2:00 pm at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway Blvd SE. Pallbearers will be, Francisco Villa, Jerad Villa, Christopher Villa, Jonathan Anzures, Patrick Silva and Eric Perea. Honorary pallbearers will be, Andrew Apodaca, Matthew Perea, Anthony Perea, Andrew Perea, Emanuel Thomas, Jeramiah Perea and Damian Perea.
