Sgt. Major Charles Irvin Frick, 82, of Pasadena, died Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD.  Born April 3, 1939 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Catherine Howell Frick.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Carolyn S. Frick.

 Sgt. Major Frick graduated from Baltimore City College in 1958 and attended the University of Baltimore majoring in Industrial Management from 1959-1961.  He was a member of Galilee Lutheran Church in Pasadena.

 Sgt. Major Frick enlisted in the Maryland Army National Guard on 20 Feb 1957 and retired as the Chief Operations Sgt. for the 3rd Brigade, 29th Infantry Division (Light) where he served in that capacity until 30 April 1999.

He obtained many awards including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Maryland Meritorious Service Medal, Maryland Commendation Medal, and the Maryland State Service Medal, Air Assault Bade, Expert Infantry Badge, and Expert Missile Badge.

Besides his wife, he is survived by sons BG Robert Frick and wife Dawn of St. Leonard, MD and Michael Frick and wife Holly of Lovettsville, VA; grandchildren Taylor, Jordan, Noah, Camryn and Titus Frick.

He was predeceased by a sister Barbara Frick.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with his pastor, Rev. Matthew Hilpert officiating.  Interment will be at Deer Park Cemetery in Smallwood.
