Edward Finley Simmons passed away peacefully at the age of 80. He was committed to public service and served as United States Park Police for over 20 years in the Capitol of the District of Columbia. Edward Finley Simmons selflessly served and protected the public through criminal investigations, drug prevention and enforcement and safeguarding presidents and their staff within the Capitol of the District of Columbia. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia Simmons; two children Ashley Simmons and Michael Simmons, other relatives and friends. Edward Finley Simmons will forever be remembered as a model citizen, great friend and a wonderful husband and father.Obituary
