Marvin Hennecke Obituary

 

Marvin Hennecke, 88, of Shelburn passed away on Saturday April 3, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Beloit, WI on July 12, 1932 to Melvin Hennecke and Alice (Stearns) Hennecke.  He was a 1950 graduate of Hymera High School, had retired from Peabody Coal Company, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.  Marvin was a member of the Eastern Stars,  Past Worthy Patron, Shelburn Masonic Lodge 369, Past Master, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Past Most Wise Master, Rose Croix, Illustrious 33 degree, Shelburn American Legion post 197.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley (Rowe) Hennecke, brothers Keith and Ralph Hennecke.

 

Survivors include his Daughter Kathy (Mark) Lyday, sons Ralph (Becky) Hennecke, Randy (Christina) Hennecke, 11 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.   

 

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with pastor Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Masonic services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Military services will be given by the Sullivan County Honor Guard.  Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
