Mary E. Jacquette Havertown, Pennsylvania Obituary

Mary E. Jacquette

Mary Jacquette, age 66, of Wynnewood, PA passed away on March 30, 2021 in her home. Mary was the daughter of Eleanor (Kearns) and Edwin Jacquette Sr. She is survived by longtime partner Neil Rambert; her siblings and their families: Ed (Tinker), James (JoAnne), Ann (Fred) Pagan, her many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her other veteran travel partner, brother Paul (Linda Graf-Kruse). Mary graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School, Immaculata College, and Hahnemann University Medical School. She then completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in neonatology, which Mary practiced at Bryn Mawr Hospital for almost 30 years and Hahnemann Hospital prior to that. Mary loved to travel, and along with Neil and/or friends, traveled extensively across both the United States and Europe often on a bicycle or hitting the slopes. She and Neil loved to visit National Parks and historic sites. Mary could occasionally be seen riding a motorcycle with Neil on the scenic roads of Pennsylvania. She enjoyed warm weather and spent many summer days at the Jersey shore during her working years, and then Florida in later years attempting to master her golfing skills. Mary was an avid reader and had a photographic memory. She could win any trivia challenge hands down. Aunt Mary was generous to and always thinking of new and exciting places to take her nieces and nephews. Mary loved to bake and her apple cake was often found at family gatherings much to our delight. Her keen, dry sense of humor kept her companions on their toes. Mary touched many lives beyond those of her family. She had a tight circle of devoted friends that supported her to the end. Many, many neonates were treated and saved and their families relieved by the dedicated treatment of Mary and her colleagues; and the next two generations of Jacquette babies benefited from her wise pediatric advice. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, where family and friends may call after 10 AM in St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, Pa (Mass will be Live Streamed on the St. Denis Church Facebook Page). Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests for those inclined to make donations in Mary’s memory to the Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation for the NICU at 130 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. All attendees are to wear masks, practice social distancing and avoid physical contact.

Mary was one of my dear friends from high school at Archbishop Carroll. I will always remember her smile. It would light up any room. And her wonderful laugh. Rest in peace my friend. You and your family are in my prayers 🙏🏻❤️
