<p>Florence Ann Richards, 93, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor, Aberdeen.</p> <p>A private Mass of Christian burial is 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen, with Fr. Andrew Dickinson officiating.</p> <p>Public visitation will be 9:30-11:00a.m before the service at the church.</p> <p>Burial is at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.</p> <p>Schriver&rsquo;s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp; Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and also view the service at www.schriversmemorial.com.</p> <p>Florence Ann Adler was born April 24, 1927, in Aberdeen, SD, to Leo and Helen (Sahli) Adler. Florence attended country school and graduated from Ipswich High School in 1945.&nbsp;</p> <p>Florence was united in marriage to Maurice Richards on November 27, 1948, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ipswich, SD.&nbsp; They farmed for 41 years in the Ipswich area until retiring and moving to Aberdeen in 1989. &nbsp;</p> <p>During their farming years, Florence worked as a homemaker.&nbsp; She loved to collect recipes and was known for her wonderful baking; caramel rolls, apple pie, and kuchen just to name a few.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; After retirement she worked as a volunteer for 18 years at Avera St. Lukes, loved to play cards, go shopping, and was known to swing a golf club from time to time. &nbsp;</p> <p>Florence loved keeping house, attending daily Mass, and cherished spending time with her family. &nbsp;</p> <p>Grateful for having shared Florence&rsquo;s life are her daughters: Reen (Jim) Malsom, children Ryan Malsom and Sara Ernst, Monie (Jerry) Fix, children Tracey Patterson, Tony Fix, and Angie Mullenbach, Susan (Jeff) Thayer, and Mary (Mark) Gjernes, children Megan Meagher and Michael Gjernes; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Adler; and sister, Carol Huffman.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; parents, two brothers and two sisters.</p> <hr /> <p><iframe allow="fullscreen;" height="360" src="https://vcloud.blueframetech.com/broadcast/embed/258200?autoplay=1" style="border:0;overflow:hidden;" width="640"></iframe></p>

Florence Ann Richards, 93, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor, Aberdeen.

A private Mass of Christian burial is 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen, with Fr. Andrew Dickinson officiating.

Florence Ann Adler was born April 24, 1927, in Aberdeen, SD, to Leo and Helen (Sahli) Adler. Florence attended country school and graduated from Ipswich High School in 1945. 

Florence was united in marriage to Maurice Richards on November 27, 1948, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ipswich, SD.  They farmed for 41 years in the Ipswich area until retiring and moving to Aberdeen in 1989.
