Mark Alan Palmer Obituary

Mark Alan Palmer of Steelville, MO was born on Sunday, December 14, 1980 in St. Louis, MO to Mark Ernest Palmer and Cynthia Renee Crawford.  He had been missing and was discovered on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 after succumbing to his death at the hands of another on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the age of 40 years, 3 months and 3 days.

Mark grew up in Cook Station, MO and attended Steelville High School before moving to Reno, NV where he graduated from high school in 1999.  He had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at an early age.  He married Chelsea Lyn Copling on November 14, 2015 in Cuba, MO and to this union a daughter, Abigail, was born.  Mark was a carpenter and a master at concrete, learning from Jeff Lucy and Mike Livesay.  He was a member of the Laborer’s Union Local #110.  He had worked for B&W Concrete Services, Kevin Britton in Cuba, MO and Everstrong Concrete.  Mark referred to himself as a “tinkerer” and loved to mess with cars or build something.  He was a jack of all trades, he was good at tiling floors and walls and overall, was just magnificent with his hands.  He was a great mechanic and could fix just about anything.  Mark loved music and to sing.  He enjoyed to be outdoors whether it was camping, floating, fishing or hunting and to go to the river with his daughter, Abigail.  Mark had a kind heart that led him to help others with whatever their need was within his power, expecting nothing in return. Most of all, he loved his family and friends who will forever miss him and his contagious smile.

Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather "Bud" Crawford; paternal grandparents Walter and Myrtle Palmer; uncle Vincent "Unkie" Oberlohr and step-father Steven T. Ball.

He is survived by his wife Chelsea Palmer of Cuba, MO; daughter Abigail Palmer of Cuba, MO; parents Cindy Crawford (Mike Turnbough) of Davisville, MO and Mark E. (Bonnie) Palmer of Jefferson City, MO; step-father Albert (Donna) Brinkmann of Cook Station, MO; parents-in-law Terry and Lisa Copling both of Cuba, MO; grandparents Ramona Oberlohr of Louisville, IL and John Oberlohr of St. Louis, MO; siblings Jacob Ball (Jessie) of Cuba, MO, Nicholas (Wendy) Brinkmann of Cuba, MO, Al Brinkmann, III (fiancée Rachel Jackson) of Cook Station, MO, Jennifer (Randall) Railey of High Gate, MO and Joshua (Kimberly) Palmer of Cuba, MO;  sister-in-law Terriana Copling of St. James, MO; brother-in-law Terry Copling, Jr. of Cuba, MO; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.  Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Pastor David Hatcher officiating.  The service was live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO's Facebook Page.  The family chose cremation as his final disposition.  Memorials were suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
